A large field of 64 players, including 4 visitors, teed off for this morning’s 2 Person Ambrose event. The game is also one of four quarterly events where players vie for the Phyllis Starr “Tin Cup”. This cup was donated by Tim Starr and the events are played in Phyllis’ memory. Results on the day were as follows:
1st: The team of Margaret Downey and Ken Brown with a nett stroke score of 28.25.
2nd: Husband and wife Ian and Annette Manton on 33.25 after a count back was required.
3rd: Greg Ware and Kevin Dukes, also on 33.25.
Ball or Chocolate:
Teri and Steve Swanbury, together with Solveig Olsson and Ray Redman with scores of 33.5, Gus Alameddine and Allen Gannon on 34, followed by Noel Fletcher and Ross Hendy, Ann and Terry Challender, and finally Tony Crook and Graham Pratt all on 34.25 on count back.
The Bradman’s award this week went to the team of Paul Spackman and John Cox.

The Accuracy award was taken out by Annette Manton with a fine long drive alongside the centre line.
