Working Bee 4th June 2018

Once again the Tuross spirit comes to the for, with golfers coming together to help a Glen Shearer lead team, laying a concrete path alongside the 2nd tee, many hands make light work, and of course a concrete pump helps as well.

The golf course volunteers continues to carry on the legacy started many years ago when they took the side of a mountain and turned into a top quality 9 hole golf course that continues to improve each and every year.

5th Tee Pathway Taking Shape

Volunteer workers helped Tim Watson and his ground staff pour and lay concrete to provide a pathway from the 5th tee down to the fairway on Monday July 7th 2014. This project has been a long time in the planning stage but with cash contributions from the men’s club. ladies club and the vets together with support from the main club the worthwhile project is now underway. With the increasing number of golf carts now using the course it is essential that improved paths are in the pipe line so that adverse weather conditions do not reduce the ability of many of our golfing members to use the course. The valuable labour contribution of the volunteers taking part greatly extends the amount of work that can be financed
